(I) Application of Ceramic Fiber Board on Aluminum Melting Furnace Shell

1. Brief Introduction to Aluminum Melting Furnace

The aluminum melting furnace is a new type of high-efficiency energy-saving furnace developed for aluminum smelting processes. It well meets the requirements of high alloy composition standard, discontinuous production and large single-furnace capacity. It is suitable for intermittent production and smelting with large proportion of alloy materials and recycled materials, and is widely used in aluminum casting, forging and processing industries.



2. Working Temperature of Aluminum Melting Furnace

The inner chamber temperature is generally 950~1100℃, varying according to different aluminum materials. The temperature of molten aluminum ranges from 730℃ to 860℃.For a 0.5-ton gas-fired aluminum melting furnace, one batch of melting takes about 2 to 3 hours with gas consumption of 50 to 60 cubic meters.

3. Specific Application of Ceramic Fiber Board

Ceramic fiber board is a common thermal insulation material for aluminum melting furnace shells, which effectively insulates heat and cuts energy consumption. It is not in direct contact with molten aluminum. Non-stick aluminum castable is usually adopted as working layer refractory material to ensure stable and efficient operation.
