Properties of Ceramic Fiber Modules Applied in Industrial Kilns and Furnaces
(5) Low thermal conductivity. It maintains extremely low thermal conductivity at high temperatures. At 100℃, the thermal conductivity of refractory fiber is only 1/5~1/10 of refractory bricks and 1/10~1/20 of ordinary clay bricks. Statistics show that adopting refractory fiber instead of refractory bricks as furnace lining for heating furnaces, annealing furnaces and other industrial kilns can reduce overall weight by over 80% and lining thickness by more than 50%.
