The installation technology and construction quality of ceramic fiber modules are the primary key factor to ensure the service life of refractory fiber furnace linings.

With standardized design and proper selection of refractory ceramic fiber modules with matching service temperature, as well as avoidance of mechanical collision and workpiece impact, the damage and falling off of refractory fiber furnace linings (except under corrosive atmosphere) are mostly caused by defective construction quality and improper installation processes.

Reserved pre-compression is generally adopted during the installation of refractory fiber furnace linings, yet this measure only eliminates gaps at room temperature. When heated, the surface fibers will lose part of their elasticity, so the reserved pre-compression cannot fully compensate for the gaps generated under high-temperature conditions

No furnace drying is required after installation, which saves considerable drying time. In addition, ceramic fiber modules feature excellent resistance to rapid temperature changes and are not affected by furnace startup, shutdown and maintenance. With proper installation and daily maintenance, the average service life of industrial kilns can reach more than 5 years.
